EZ Chili

My mother bought me the EZ Bean Pressure Cooker. Then I bought about 75 pounds of dry beans and rice. Needless to say this baby has been going nonstop.

  • 1 pound red kidney beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 28 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 16 ounce can tomato paste
  • 1 large onion
  • 15 small portobello mushrooms
  • 1 jalapeno diced small
  • 8 garlic cloves diced small
  • 1 yellow pepper diced
  • 1 orange pepper diced
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Herbamare
  • fresh cilantro for garnish

  1. Add all ingredients except the Herbamare and fresh cilantro in the EZ Bean Pressure Cooker and stir.
  2. Use the kidney bean preset.
  3. Once the time is up release the steam.
  4. Open the pressure cooker carefully. The chili should be thick. If the chili is not thick enough extend the time accordingly. When the chili is just right add the Herbamare and stir.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
